Yosi Anaya en Museo de la Ciudad de Quetaro (México)




Yosi Anaya es Doctora en Artes Visuales por la Universidad de Londres (Goldmsiths College), se ha enfocados a lo largo del tiempo en la investigación de las manifestaciones  textiles y el arte contemporáneo.
El titulo de la exposición es  “Arraigos resignificados”  y presenta una manera particular de traducir observaciones y experiencias en torno al tiempo, el agua y la luz en obras que aunque se pueden considerar arte textil a la vez denotan un entrenamiento profundo en las artes visuales. 
La artista maneja diversas técnicas que van desde la concepción minimalista de sus monotipos en seda al ensamblaje a base de costura, obras logradas por el manejo de consistentes ritmos composicionales de tiras teñidas y recortadas en diversos materiales, así como por su sutil manejo de relieves y espacios.

Yosi Anaya holds a PhD in Visual Arts from the University of London (Goldmsiths College) has been focused over time in the investigation of the manifestations textiles and contemporary art.

The title of the exhibition is "Rooting new meaning" and presents a unique way to translate observations and experiences about the weather, water and light works can be seen that although textile art to denote a time-depth training in the visual arts 

The artist uses various techniques ranging from the minimalist design of the assembly silk monotypes based on sewing work achieved by the consistent handling of compositional rhythms dyed and cut strips of various materials, as well as for his subtle handling of relief and spaces.
