II Salón de Otoño de Alhaurín de la Torre
This is the second good news of this last quarter and you know, there is no two without three (hopefully). One of my works has been selected along with other candidates, by the critic Antonio Garrido Moraga. The truth is that my selection has been a gift and a recharge for my recent low self-esteem, especially because the others selected are painters and his paintings (very good) are oleos and so deceive ourselves, we all know that "textiles" we are still the strange.
The lounge of this year is dedicated to the memory of the disappeared in June, Don Julian Sesmero, journalist, writer, poet and historian from Malaga. He was member of the School of fine arts of San Telmo, Honorary President of the Association of journalists, and a member of the Academy of Sciences honr. Our people, Alhaurin de la Torre, chose to donate his extensive collections consisting of more than 3,500 volumes.
This year, the Salon, counts on the participation of prominent artists that were included by Mr. Sesmero in his "dictionary of painters, sculptors and engravers of Málaga. 20Th century", such as:
Rosana Tomasi, Simón Pizarro, Pérez Palma, Pérez Almeda, Cristobal Ortega, Antonio Montie, it Ángela Molina, Sandra Martinez, Vicente Linares, Suso of Marcos, Adolfo Córdoba, Antonio Ayuso, Jose Arjonilla, Antonio Arjona, Rafael Alvarado and Francisco Almanza.
We wait for you, the day of the opening we will count with the presence of the poets: Pilar Bugella Travery and Juan Miguel Gonzalez.
The rest of the day will also include activities and performances live, keep an eye on the blog of the Association which has organised the exhibition: Pincel y Barro (Brush and Mud).
