WORLD TEXTILE ART - MAYO 2.011.

  
En el marco de la VI Bienal Internacional de Arte Textil Contemporáneo, que se desarrolla en México del 15 de mayo al 26 de julio, el Centro Cultural Ollin Yoliztli (CCOY) donde se podrá visitar los siguientes Salones:

  1. Salón Arte Textil "Gran Formato"
  2. Salón de Arte "Objeto Textil"
  3. Salón de Arte Textil "Temporal"
  4. Salón de Arte Textil "Pequeño Formato"
  5. Salon de Arte "Reciclaje Textil"
Las galerías del espacio cultural abrirán sus puertas a partir del 23 de mayo para exhibir las muestras “Generaciones” y “El aire no tan transparente de México”, informó en un comunicado la Secretaría de Cultura del gobierno del Distrito Federal. 

En ellas, anotó, el público podrá gozar de creaciones de artistas de la talla de Juan Soriano, Leticia Arroyo, Georgina Toussaint, Edmundo Aquino, Adrián Gómez, Elia Del Carmen, Araceli Carmona y Francisco Javier Santiago, entre otros.

Las ciudades de México, Xalapa y Oaxaca fueron elegidas para ser sede del encuentro internacional del World Textile Art, organización con sede en Miami, fundada en 1997 y gestora de las bienales que se han desarrollado en Estados Unidos y distintos países de Latinoamérica con la intervención de artistas y jurados internacionales, expuso.

Con la inquietud de que el arte textil no era suficientemente conocido en el mundo, su fundadora, Pilar Tobón, propuso al Museo de las Américas abrir sus puertas a las artistas textiles del mundo y organizó la I Bienal Internacional, denominada “Renacer precolombino 2000”, expuso.

With the concern that the textile art was little know in the world, its founder, PILAR TOBON, proposed to the Museum of the Americas opened its doors to the world textile artist and organized the First International Biennial, entitled "Pre Columbian Revival 2.000", he explained.
